Asus PC won't turn on after sleep mode

Hello,
This has happened several times now. When I put my ASUS K555L laptop to sleep (whether I close the lid or leave it open and let it go to sleep), when I try to "wake it up," nothing happens. And when I press the power button, it tells me that it is on (with the battery light, for example, or with a USB connection indicating that it is on, but nothing else happens). How can I turn it on? The computer is brand new; it’s barely a year old. This is the third time this has happened and now it refuses to wake up unlike the previous times.

Is it a desktop or a laptop?

Since it is on, press the power button until it turns off, then turn it back on.
If that doesn't work, unplug your computer from the power source, remove the battery and press the power button for 1 to 2 minutes, then reinsert the battery, plug your computer back into the power source, and start it.
