Hello,
My Seagate external hard drive is NO LONGER recognized by my PC.
I updated some drivers via DriversCloud.
For the USB controller, it suggested a driver that I downloaded, it's a .sys file and its relevance was only a little ball. If I read correctly on the forums, you don’t execute system files.
I don’t know if it's valid, so I looked for another driver on NVIDIA (that's the one currently installed) nForce2 USB Controller, which is dated 2002. The NVIDIA site only offers universal usb drivers for Windows 98...
Could someone point me to where I can still find a driver for my Windows XP configuration?
Thanks!

Hello,
Go to Start
Run
Type --> devmgmt.msc and OK.
Give the hardware ID number of the device
Right-click on the device
Properties
Details tab
Select the hardware ID number.
It's a number that should look something like this for example:
--> PCI\VEN_1969&DEV_1026&SUBSYS.......
If needed, look --> here
What is the brand and exact model number of the PC?
