Suddenly very long paragraph issue Open Office Apache

Hello,

I was writing my lesson peacefully when suddenly, after a careless manipulation, the indents I usually made on OpenOffice Apache became at least 4 times longer. Now, I can only put a single word on a line after an indent.

    The best option is to switch to LibreOffice for starters, since Apache OpenOffice hasn't been updated in over a year and even before that it wasn't updated much either.
    LibreOffice is similar to Apache OpenOffice (free and originally based on the same software), but with many advancements and fixes:

      Select the text
      then right-click with the mouse
      Choose "Paragraph…"
      In "Indentation and spacing"
      Set the three values for indentations to zero.

      It's not the file but a screenshot, so it's not really useful.
      On the rule, I see that the tab defined for the paragraph is "14.75 cm", which is a lot. To solve your problem, go to the Edit menu/Select All
      then go to the Format menu/Paragraph
      and in the "Tabs" tab, click on the "Clear All" button
      Then recreate a reasonable tab by setting "0.63 cm" in "Position" and choosing "Left/Top" as "Type" set "None" as "Filler character" and then click "New" to add it. After clicking "OK", everything should be fine.

    Well, it turns out that the so-called advancements of LibreOffice don't really move things forward.

    Not knowing what manipulation may have been made on the document, start by extracting one or two faulty paragraphs.
    Copy and paste them into a blank document.
    Does the problem recur?
