SIM card not detected Solved

Question

Hello everyone, I tried my SIM card in a borrowed phone because mine is getting old, the SIM card was working very well in the new one until I removed the battery to put it back in mine.

Now the SIM card is not detected by either phone and it displays "insert SIM card" even though it is inside!!

Please help me, I have no other port for the moment. Thank you

I took my SIM card to Orange and they changed it for me for free. They also didn't understand why it had been "flashed" like that. They couldn't even recover the phone numbers with their machine! Go check with SFR, it's probably the best solution.

It turns out that I have the same issue as you with an SFR chip. I cleaned the chip with a cloth but it's no use. If you found a solution, please let us know, and the same goes for me.

Okay thanks, I was planning to go but since it's an SFR card I'm worried they won't change the chip for me and if it's possible it won't be free.  I'll keep you updated.

The SIM card change for SFR is indeed not free, but there is a trick: declare the phone stolen to your customer service (06.1400.1900 from a landline or a mobile), and they will be happy to send you a new SIM card.

Je suis désolé de parler en anglais, c'est juste que je suis portugais et je me sens mieux en écrivant en anglais qu'en français (même si j'adore la langue française).
Eh bien, voici mon problème : depuis ce matin, mon portable (Motorola V220 carte Orange) ne reconnaît plus ma carte. Quand il cherche la réception, cela prend un long moment et après, un message apparaît disant "Carte SIM non enregistrée".
C'est vraiment étrange, et c'est pourquoi je demande votre aide. Comment puis-je enregistrer ma carte ?

Bien, il va falloir traduire pour notre Portugais parce que moi et l'anglais... bref, ta carte SIM n'est tout simplement pas déclarée chez Orange donc celle-ci est inactive, la solution est de téléphoner chez Orange pour te faire enregistrer et ta carte sera activée.

I have the same problem !!
My phone was working fine and suddenly it turned off, and when I turned it back on, the SIM was no longer detected. Of course, I also tried it with all the phones and each time the same message: "Insert SIM card"!

Same problem with my Samsung J700 and a free SFR SIM card   it shows me: "Insert SIM card" or "No network"   even though it was working perfectly fine before and my SIM card is clearly inside   I contacted SFR and they told me to go to an agency, so I called for nothing, not to mention the wait   Upon arriving at the agency, they had nothing else to tell me than "sorry, we had a problem with our antennas"   I asked them how come my colleague next to me had network   they replied that we must not be using the same antennas   as if I was using an SFR antenna in Washington and my colleague one in Seoul   It's utter nonsense and before looking for new clients, start taking care of the existing ones, this advice applies to many companies (including Internet Service Providers!!!)   I had no network ALL WEEKEND ANYWAY!!!!   As if by magic, once I enter the agency, the mobile phone works   I asked for a new card and they told me it would be chargeable, even though I've been with them for 5 years, no way they'd do it for free!!!!!!!!!!!   Honestly, I switched to Orange and everything is running smoothly, even the SIM card change is free with them   SFR, with the huge profits they make, is so stingy that they don't want to change the SIM card for free, even for long-time customers.   I don't like stingy people!!! LONG LIVE ORANGE!!!   I even suspect SFR of blocking networks so that people call their customer service and they earn even more money, by the way, their customer service is TERRIBLE, they have NEVER managed to help me in all the times I called!!!   Finally, thank goodness this problem occurred on my PERSONAL phone, because my WORK phone is with Orange, as two days without being reachable would have caused me to lose a lot of clients... Hello, I just bought an Acer Liquid Jade Z with dual SIM card. I had to call my operator because this phone only takes "nano-SIM" cards. Once I got my first nano SIM, it took 2 hours to be configured and it worked for a few minutes but then suddenly nothing. My new phone no longer detects my SIM card. It says "slot 1: no SIM card detected." I put it in the second slot and it shows the same thing. I tried it in several other phones and got the same result.

It bothers me because I can no longer use my personal phone, I can't make or receive calls from anyone.

My operator is none other than my bank (El Telecom, Crédit Mutuel), yet when the SIM was working before it was no longer detected, it said "NRJ mobile" even though I'm not a customer there...
