[Stepmania] How to configure my dance pads?

Hello everyone,

This is a recurring topic, but not having found my answer in previous threads, I’m trying
my first post on this subject.

Recently a fan of Stepmania, I decided a week ago to buy two gaming pads online.
Here is the link to the site: https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=fl-games&e=com
By typing 'pad' in their search engine, it's the second "USB Dance Pad for PC".

I received these pads, and the PC recognizes them well. However, I learned that I had to download a driver
to configure them: NTPAD XP 2.01

I installed this driver, which installed two NTPAD XP game controllers. I also configured Stepmania to
recognize the pads.

My problem is simple: the pads are recognized but do not work. Even in the control panel for testing the controller, no matter what I do, the axes and buttons do not register at all.

If you could shed some light on my situation, I would be grateful. Thank you in advance.
Configuration: Windows XP Firefox 2.0.0.6

hi
actually, you need to go into stepmania, in the options menu
then to joypad config
you select your key, press enter, and then press the corresponding mat key.

not too complicated.

if it doesn't work, uninstall the one you installed after, the one from windows is enough.

Hello everyone, I recently bought a "top way" dance mat online because being a fan of Dance Dance Revolution, I wanted to get into it. I also purchased an import adapter that is compatible with standard mats.

However, when I connect it to the computer and after installing the adapter driver, the game does not detect it even when trying to configure it in joypad settings.

I don't know what to do. I should specify that the mat is wireless and there was no driver included.

I thank in advance the person who can help me.

I have the same problem :X
I just received the two DDR mats, plus StepMania, I plug in my mats, I install the game, and nothing...
My PC tells me they are "ready to use," but in the game, they don't respond...

Helm, I really want to play @_@

Hello, I would really like to buy one too, but my problem is that I have a MAC computer and I wanted to know which mouse pad to buy and if the mouse pad from https://www.hugedomains.com/domain_profile.cfm?d=fl-games&e=com is compatible with MAC????

I'm replying to your message. I have a Mac and I bought an adapter for my PS2 dance mat. It was stated that it only works on Windows, yet it functions.
However, I have a configuration problem.
The arrow keys work fine except when I press the right and left at the same time or front and back at the same time, it doesn't work.
Thank you for your assistance.

I found a site that I think will help some of you with:
- Choosing carpets
- What adapter do you need?
- Comparison of dance carpets
- The must-have dance carpets
- Etc...

Hello everyone, I just got myself a DDR mat, and from what I've read, it needs to be configured. What should I do if it's not recognized by the game?
I also bought an adapter that came with an installation disk... the problem is I don't have a floppy disk drive... What should I do??
If anyone has the solution?
Just for your info, my adapter is as follows: PC power box model NO/SAM-PCPB
There you go, if that rings a bell for someone..
Thanks for helping me
