Clear formatting marks

Hello,
I have a problem with the ¶ marks in WORD for Mac.
How do I make them disappear again?

    Good evening B@ccm,

    If you see the ¶ icon (tab or toolbar) at the top of the screen,
    click on it once (it’s a toggle).

    Otherwise, with the keyboard: < Ctrl >< Shift >< 8 >
    The Shift key is sometimes also called Maj; you need to use the 8
    from the top row of the keyboard, not the one from the numeric keypad.

    If your problem is solved, please go to the top of the page
    to click on "Mark as resolved."
