Hello,

In a cell of a data workbook, when I type the shortcut ctrl+; I should see the current date there. in the format 06/09/2016.

However, I see the date 01/01/1900 but with an equal sign in front (=01/01/1900).
I checked the settings in the display options, and everything is correct.
If I open another workbook, with the same settings, the date is entered correctly as 06/09/2016.
If I copy and paste from this new workbook into the one with the issue, the date is displayed correctly as 06/09/2016. but if I change a number to make it 07/09/2016, for example, it reverts to =01/01/1900

I cannot find the error in this case.

I hope someone has the solution,

thank you for your input

Best regards

Configuration: Windows 7 / Mozilla 11.0

Hello
I can't guarantee it, but it works for me

Tab "File" / Menu > "Options"
"Advanced Options"
and at the very bottom of the list, uncheck the two lines
"Other formula interpretation"
"Other formula entry mode"

cheers

The quality of the answer mainly depends on the clarity of the question, thank you!
