Hello, I bought a used PS3 47G for my daughter. After plugging it in, there was a system update message that I performed online. The update went through, but I didn’t have any games for my daughter to try yet, so I unplugged it until I could buy some. Done that, and the PS3 won’t boot anymore; it gets stuck on the PlayStation logo. Searching forums, I found that I should reboot in Safe Mode and check the option to restore the PS3 system. I did that, but the repair takes a long time and doesn’t reach 100/100. At 48/100, the PS3 restarts and returns to the first error message “corrupted file, trying to rebuild from a storage file.” I’ve tried 5 times and I can’t do it. I need help from experts, please help me and thank you in advance.

Hello. Thank you for your reply. I updated this Play directly via its settings. I had made a system backup on a USB stick before performing this update. My question is: can we restore this backup and how to do it without access to the Play’s settings? Second question: how can one tell if it is a Fat or Slim/Ultra Slim as you say. Thanks in advance for your reply. Best regards.
