How to unsubscribe from a MEETIC pass?

Solved/Closed

I accidentally subscribed to a 6-month PASS MEETIC subscription thinking I was signing up for one month. It was only after the bank transaction was completed that the price was displayed, and I was not asked for any confirmation... it's easy to handle in such cases... how can I cancel this transaction?Configuration: Windows XP Internet Explorer 6.0

Good evening,

it's best to contact the site directly to explain your misunderstanding; they are the only ones who can proceed with a refund since the bank transaction has been validated.

sincerely

Hello Maïa. Meetic sent me 2 messages, one about the unsubscribe procedure, and one to inform me that my unsubscription was successfully processed.
This wasn't without difficulty, as at first it didn't respond to any messages I sent. But I had already notified my bank, which had no trouble blocking it.
I'm not ready to go back on these sites because it's a real money trap. It's hard to believe that women are paid to play a role in this "thing."
Thank you for your response nevertheless.
MAÏA is also a Basque name and an exclamation. Are you from the area?
Looking forward to hearing from you, thank you again. Christian.

Hello. Go to your "site", then click on my account, my meetic pass, then manage your pass.
However, on help (at the bottom of your "site"), you take two or even three windows, and you tell them that you are looking to unsubscribe. They should respond to you, and keep these emails in a file in case of disputes.
Finally, don't hesitate to block the payment with your bank if necessary.

Hello,

Any online purchase falls under distance selling. If you are not satisfied with a product, the seller is obliged to refund you. However, you only have 8 days legally to do so.
So, send an email to Meetic immediately stating that it was an error on your part, that you did not intend to subscribe for six months, and request a refund. The charge has already been sent to your bank, even if it hasn't appeared yet. This is the best course of action, one that avoids later follow-ups;

As you made the purchase with a credit card, you can block the charge. Call your bank immediately. Some may hesitate to do this. Insist.
Alternatively, if you have an online account management contract, wait to see the charge appear in "upcoming," and simply block it; it will be rejected. That's what the bank would have told you to do anyway. But you must inform Meetic as quickly as possible and refrain from using your subscription. So you need to know what you want.
Expect numerous solicitations, including from other similar sites. The same company has several branches under different names.

Hello Kate, there is a mistake, I am not a weasel. I am either Christian or murex64.
Keep sending them emails and file an opposition. For the €29.99, find the headquarters address and send them your refund request by registered mail, along with, if you have a printer, the copies of your refund requests. If this is a "dead letter," you make another registered mail and send the copies to the bar association of the city where the headquarters is located.
For me, it's resolved, I kept writing to them and they caved.
With the opposition, you don't have to change your credit card.
Kisses Kate and good luck.

Hello, last month I subscribed to a one-month subscription to Meetic for 29.90 euros. What a surprise it was this morning when I checked my account and saw that I had been charged for a second month at the same price without my approval and without me doing anything. Do they have the right to do that? Furthermore, I unsubscribed but I still haven't received a confirmation email. I sent them a message asking for a refund and confirmation of my cancellation. What should I do if they don't respond??? Thank you.

Could you tell me how you managed to reach them? Thanks, I have the same problem as you.

Hi Belette,

I'm now on my fourth message without a reply, just acknowledgments of receipt. I went on meetic.fr, and after going to the press section, I was able to write to them... In my last email, I asked them to respond by the end of the day. I also want a refund of my €29.99 because I only subscribed for one month; they shouldn't mess around... No wonder they can get rich at that price... As for me, I contacted my bank to block my card and maybe change my credit card so that this doesn't happen again. But for sure, I won't fall for it again... Kisses and good luck.

Hello, I just had the same problem when subscribing to a supposedly €14.95 subscription. After the confirmation, I realized they were going to charge me €90 all at once. I sent them an email to cancel my subscription today since I was against it; how should I check if they will do it? From what I've read about similar issues, it doesn't seem straightforward. Should I block my bank tomorrow? But to block, I need a Meetic account number, and I don’t have any account number??? Thank you in advance.

But no, you just need your bank account number and the name of Meetic, that’s all.
And if you know they are going to charge you, the bank will see it on your account and will do it immediately. There’s urgency, it will be much longer to get your refund afterwards.

Hello,
I have the same problem. I thought I subscribed to a subscription for €14.95 and they charged me €90. I have sent them emails and they don't reply.

What should I do to get reimbursed and unsubscribe? My bank told me that I couldn't dispute it because it was a purchase made with a debit card. If you have an address to write to them, that would be great. Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone!
To cut a long story short, I had signed up for a certain more or less reliable dating site, as we all know!
I cancelled my accounts in November on Meetic and Easy, and despite that, they continued to charge me €29.90 (Meetic) and €2 x €29.90 Easy - what a bill!
For Meetic, it was my mistake for not properly cancelling my account. But for Easy, when I checked my username with my credit card number, these accounts were re-subscribed through different email addresses. So there was hacking involved!
As for the solution, have your credit card ready (they'll find you right away on the computer) and call:
- Meetic at 0826620276 then press 1
- Easy at 0899650654
They even reimbursed me since the last connection

Good luck to everyone!
