Hello,
I placed an order on the website "1001extensions" on 08/13/2016 and it was shipped on 08/16/2016. The tracking number provided indicates the following:
Parcel status: In Transit
Destination country: France
Country of origin: Netherlands
2016-08-22 07:11 The item is ready for shipment
2016-08-18 03:28 The item is pre-advised

Is this normal? It seems very slow to me and I don't quite understand what it means.
Thank you for your help.

Hello
Company based in Florida (According to the terms and conditions..).
It is common for companies based outside the EU to send bulk shipments to 'customs-free' warehouses located in the Netherlands or Germany. Then, after local sorting, the package is shipped from that warehouse to the customer under 'community transit' regulations.
This means that upon arrival in the destination country (yours..) Customs may apply VAT (+ any applicable parafiscal tax).
This mainly slows down the process at the level of the final destination country (Customs formalities).
Often (if the amount is low, small volume) the package is handed over to the national distribution network with no 'fees'..
See you soon

From experience, it is not very fast (Customs clearance..).. When you see on the tracking that the package is indeed put into the postal system let’s say between 3 and 7 days..
The item is ready for shipment : this means that the sender (or re-sender) has obtained a tracking number (electronically) that will be affixed to the package when it is truly ready to be handed over to the postal system.
The time between 'ready for shipment' (a bit of fluff..) and the actual shipping can be longer (7 to 30 days). Only the information 'handed over to the Post' or equivalent indicates an imminent arrival.
The 'ready for shipment' is meant to keep you waiting..
A+
We cannot know.
Only the carrier would possibly be able to provide more information.
See you later.
