Hello everyone, the main point is in the title, but actually, I'm going to say everything. I will soon be acquiring the Asus ROG Gl502 Strix laptop, which looks absolutely amazing (nosebleed). The only downside is... it doesn't have a CD drive =.=" How am I supposed to install games bought in stores in this case? Do I just have to buy the product code? Or will I have to purchase an external CD drive? Please let me know >.<, thanks in advance ^O^

Hi!

Honestly, I don't remember using a CD drive to install a game in over 5 years. Almost all games now go through gaming platforms, so you just need a product code (which is available in boxed version in stores) that you activate on your account and then download the game.

Besides, an external drive isn't going to cost "a fortune" to say ^^

p.s: It's a choice, but buying a CD key directly from a website is usually cheaper than a boxed version.

oh thanks for the info ^^ but I bought my PC earlier than expected (and in the end the one I chose is the Asus ROG GL752) it has a CD drive, so it won't be of any use to me, I'll buy the codes on eBay and elsewhere then :D thanks for your reply ^^
bye!

Just be careful with websites that sell CD keys! Many are not official and the key being sold may be subject to being blocked after activation.
