Hello everyone, I've been having problems with my HP Pavilion laptop for a few days now without understanding the source. I have already reset it, but the issues persist.
Let me explain: at times, my laptop slows down alarmingly with nothing I can do about it.
I noticed thanks to the task manager that my processor sometimes has an uptime of 50 hours or more, a duration that also doesn't reset sometimes even when I turn off my laptop.
I am therefore asking for your help or information on what could be causing these problems. I would also like to know if my processor is malfunctioning or if such an uptime is completely normal.
My processor is an Intel Core i5-3317U - my laptop is an HP Pavilion that is about to be 4 years old but works very well aside from this issue.
Thank you in advance for your responses, best regards.

hello.
Indeed, as aledu35 said, nothing unusual, it's just a task manager data point, which tells you it's not just a simple bug as well.??
If your PC is off and unplugged, it makes sense that the CPU cannot run, unless you have the battery, but it would drain and you would notice it.
Apparently that's not the case, since you don't mention it..
Do the test by using your PC on AC power without the battery, turn it off, and see if the counter continues to increase..
If so, you can confirm 100% that it's just a simple bug...

Personally, on my PC, when I had fast boot enabled, the task manager would reset properly at each boot, reboot...
And since I disabled it, obviously, it still resets...
But sometimes I remember that the counter didn't go back to zero, it happened to me two or three times, after the installation of update updates it did that..!!!
