Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Tab A tablet, and I would like to be able to open the content of a USB stick directly with my tablet. I thought all I needed was to buy a microUSB/USB adapter, but I contacted Samsung's customer service, and they told me that my tablet model is not compatible and that it wouldn't work. I would like to know if there are any solutions to bypass this problem (with an app or a proper manipulation?) - other than going through a PC.
Here are the details I found:
Samsung Galaxy Tab A (Wi-Fi Tablet), model SM-T550, Android version 6.0.1
I also found all these specifications; I'm not sure if they are useful...
If anyone has any ideas, I thank you in advance for your help.
Juliette

Well, from what I've read about the Samsung Galaxy Tab models, they come with an adapter that apparently other tablets of a different model do not have.
So I've scoured the internet blablabla, I’ve gone through countless posts regarding OTG cables related to your model (Cable that allows you to connect a USB stick through the tablet's port).
I found a little inexpensive adapter here.
You just need to connect the desired USB stick to your tablet via the OTG cable, then enable debug mode, if necessary. (This setting often creates interferences between external devices and the tablet/smartphone.)
If that doesn't work, try rebooting your tablet.
I also read that the Micro SDHC port on your tablet (the only place where you can plug in a cable) can read up to 32GB, so there shouldn’t be an issue regarding the type of USB stick. If the customer service tells you otherwise about that, switch providers right away. :v
Only dual port USB sticks (double port, PC/tablet) may have difficulties with that.
Hoping your problem gets resolved.
Sincerely, a panda.

Thank you once again for your help. I will try your miracle solution, and I will let you know how it goes when I receive the adapter.
Best regards,
Juliette
Thank you, Panda!
