Hello,
I have an issue in a cell.
I can't seem to delete the apostrophe.
Example:
In cell A1 I have a series of numbers 2-1-1 (for info, it's a price number)
When I click in this cell, it appears in the formula bar as '2-1-1.
If I delete the apostrophe and click back on this cell, it shows up again as '2-1-1.
How can I remove this apostrophe?
Thank you in advance for your help.
Best regards to everyone
Configuration: Windows / Chrome 51.0.2704.84

Good evening,
the entry 2-1-1 actually corresponds to Excel as 02/01/2001
to display 2-1-1, it needs to be converted to text by adding an apostrophe in front '2-1-1
to remove this apostrophe, there are several possibilities: enter the value 1 in a cell and right-click on the cell containing this 1 and Copy / select the range to process and right-click / Paste Special, check Multiply and OK but the cell will display 36893 and if you format your cell as a date you will get back 02/01/2001
Unless your cell is formatted in custom format or other code, in which case I would need to have your file to see the issue
to attach an example file follow these instructions
1) Click on this link https://www.cjoint.com/
2) Click on the Browse button to select your file
3) Click on the Create Link button at the bottom of the page
4) After a few seconds at the top of the page a generated link will appear in blue underlined, you highlight it and copy it into a reply
See you soon
