everything is possible... or almost, but if you can tell us more about your data, we will respond without any problem

Example:

sheet1 database with a list of reference texts in A and their corresponding values in B
sheet2 your texts to "grade" starting in A1

from 1:
=VLOOKUP(A1,Sheet1!A:B,2,0) will give you the value from the database table that corresponds to the text

Thank you for your quick response.
Actually, I created a table with different columns in which I inserted choice lists. I would like to assign a value based on the selected choice in the list. For example:
G4 has a choice list "Yes", I would like to assign the value 0 and "No" the value 1, all on the same spreadsheet.
