Hello,
I am writing to you because I have not found a solution to my problem. I hope you can help me please. I received videos from someone who recorded them on iMovie. I'm trying to open them but I can't. I get the following message: VLC cannot decode the format "m2v1" (No description for this codec). These are videos that are dear to me. Did you have a solution to propose? I thank you in advance for your valuable help that always pays off.

Configuration: Windows / Firefox 47.0

Hi!

m2v1 format (container) from iMovie made for MAC computers!
You can try converting it with Format Factory, but I can't guarantee success.
You can also try renaming the extension to .avi, but I can't guarantee anything there either.

But will it work with Format Factory, or by renaming the extension to .avi?

With Format Factory, it fixed the problem for me, but I had to change the extension to MP4.
