Hello,
I bought myself a new My Passport 3 TB external hard drive this week to replace a similar drive with lower capacity. I transferred all my video files to this drive: avi, mkv, etc. Both drives are in NTFS format, yet I can't see the files on my Samsung LCD 610 TV. The TV tells me that the drive contains no video files. Do you have any suggestions for solutions?

Televisions generally only read FAT32 systems, which is why your hard drive is not recognized! There is the guiformat software to format to FAT32, but you will not be able to put files larger than 4 GB on it.

Thank you, I will give it a try! I had the impression that if the TV recognized NTFS on one drive, it would recognize it on the other... I will have to wait about 12 hours for the transfer before testing your solution... I will let you know if it works!
