Hello,
Since yesterday, I am unable to open Safari on my MacBook Air (OSX EL CAPITAN). The icon in the dock has jumped out. If I go to Launchpad, I read "could not open the Safari app because it is not responding."
How can I restore it???
PS: fortunately, I still have my iPad Mini or my iPhone 6 to contact you!
Thank you for your insights.
Configuration: iPad / Safari 9.0

Hello,
The Safari application couldn't have disappeared on its own, so check your Applications folder to see if Safari is there, as it should be.
If the icon from the Dock has disappeared, simply drag and drop it from the Applications folder back into the Dock (click on the icon without releasing the mouse button or trackpad)
If Safari has indeed been deleted from the Applications folder, you will need to reinstall OS X after booting into the recovery partition by holding down the cmd and R keys until the utilities window appears and clicking on "Install Mac OS," which may take some time if the connection isn't very fast.
After reinstallation, launch "Software Update"
