Hello,

Here is my problem: when I connect my laptop to my TV via HDMI to watch a movie, I would like to be able to turn off my laptop's screen without cutting the display on the TV.

But when I press the fn+f7 keys (a screen with a line through it on my keyboard), the image and sound cut off on both screens. However, the video continues to play in the background.

I should mention that my laptop runs Windows 10. I used to do this on my old laptop that ran Windows 7 without any issues.

Do you have a solution to this problem?

I'm not yet on Windows 10, but I think it's the same for all Windows. Try right-clicking on your desktop, selecting graphics properties (or something like that), then find a way to tell the computer that you only want the screen output to be via HDMI, so you'll have your computer output to the HDMI. If you ever want to switch it back to your computer screen, just do the same manipulation but click on the option to use the PC screen.
