Hello,
Yesterday, a veterinarian gave me a USB key attached to a card, either a credit or promotional type.
Being thinner than a standard USB, I don't know how to plug it in or position it in the USB port of my computer.
I don't want to damage it or destroy its content because it's precious. These are images from a scan.
If anyone knows how, please help me.
It's quite urgent.
Configuration: Windows Vista / Firefox 46.0

Hello, USB drives that have the format like this one works like any USB drive; the gold or silver part needs to be in contact with the motherboard. If you put it in upside down, nothing will happen; if you put it in the right way, it will work ^^
Make a copy if it is very important.

Normally there is no risk of breaking it ;) but just make sure to line your eyes up with the USB port and insert your key in the most obvious direction ;)

Thank you Gab, and sorry for not following up.
On Saturday, I connected it and it worked.
I must say I really had to force it, holding the key right in front. It only takes a little for it to break. Not a great system, in any case, my card!
I took the opportunity to make several backups. And I sent the scanner images to my local vet from one of my regular USB drives, which plug in easily.
I again extend all my thanks to you for getting back to me.

Yes, for your spelling, it's "casser" with "er" (infinitive), and not "cassé".
A little trick I learned in school, in case there's doubt between the infinitive verb and the past participle, for first group verbs (ending in "er" since the phonetics is "é" for the infinitive and the past participle): mentally replace it with a third group verb, for example "Prendre". There, you see that in the context of your sentence, it would be "prendre" and not "pris". Personally, I often apply this trick.
Exception: "ALLER" is a third group verb.
And "évident", better than "évidant".
"Mets", better than "met" (2nd person imperative of "mettre").
I love French!

Thank you Gab1 for your response, but when I plug in a standard USB key, I insert the plug into the USB port of my laptop without any problem. I actually have 4 USB ports. The plug has a rectangular shape split exactly in half, one part empty and one solid white part. And it fits in just fine.

On the other hand, the USB part of the card is an extremely flat rectangle with, at the end, 4 small golden parallel rectangles.

I tried to insert it, but I feel like it requires so much force that I was afraid it would break.
