Hello,
I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 10, and I didn't find a completely free word processor; after a free trial period, you always have to subscribe and pay for that subscription. I'm very disappointed; my old HP Pavilion laptop just broke down due to a power issue after 8 years of loyal service, and I regret it a lot because I just bought an Asus with Windows 10, but I can't write any text without having to subscribe. Is there a solution?? Additionally, having previously saved all my files on an external hard drive, it's impossible to read those texts which appear undecipherable on Windows 10.

The software that competes with the Microsoft Office suite but is free is Open Office here: https://www.openoffice.org/fr/
This will allow you to do Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ... completely free!
