Hello,
I created a bkf backup from a Windows Server 2003.
I would like to be able to restore it directly from a CD, since I backed up C and the system state, I think it should be possible, but I can't find any information on this subject. It seems tedious if we have to reinstall Windows Server first.
Best regards.

Hello
You have this good reading >>https://docs.microsoft.com/fr-fr/troubleshoot/windows-server/backup-and-storage/use-backup-feature-back-up-restore-data#bookmark-8
By searching a little, you can find it; you just need a bit of good will
Best regards

Computing is just a tool, like a brush or a pencil.
Avoid these so-called repair free software, etc.. they have no major utility. The best companions are Dos and Powershell..-
Thank you for your response.
And thank you for your remark, however my question was how to restore from a live CD..
For your information in the end:
- ntbackup.exe seems to only work from a running Windows installation.
- the bkf file backup will therefore not meet the need for a quick restoration in the event of a hard disk crash, it would be better to prefer a basic cloning software for that.
Best regards.
