Hello, I have a JBL SUB 138 home theater system and I want to use it to produce sound with a computer or a phone.
So I tried to install it and first I just used the subwoofer, I connected it with a jack RCA to my phone and it worked, then I connected the speakers that go with it (+ in + and - in -) but the sound only comes out of the subwoofer.
I am out of solutions, maybe I need an amplifier? Thank you in advance for your answers.

    Hi,

The sub's amp does not amplify the speaker output terminals.

So yes, it needs an amp.

What type of amplifier do I need, I don't know much about it.

It depends on your budget and what you can find within reach of listening, if possible.

If you want better quality for the PC, you put a DAC between the PC and the amplifier, unless a DAC integrated into the amplifier suits you.
