Hello,
I would like to give a smartbox to my boyfriend for his birthday in the extreme sports style that costs around 30 euros.
Does that mean I will only have to pay 30 euros in total, or do I need to add something when booking the activity?
It's the story of the blank check that I don't understand.
Thank you in advance.

Hello!
It might be a bit late for this gift, but it could be useful for the next time!
A smartbox is basically a book filled with activities, hotels, meals... It all depends on what you choose. For extreme sports, for example, you could have a parachute jump, a test drive of a sports car, or catamaran sailing. So you will pay for this box and give it as a gift. The recipient will have to choose which activity they like, which is not too far from their home, and make a reservation. Normally, for the activity itself, you don't need to add anything. And if you do, it will be indicated in the little book that lists the activities. In case of doubt, you can always try to check the website of that activity or call the place that offers it.
However, for a hotel, depending on what is included in the reservation, you may have to pay for breakfasts, meals, etc.
So for activities, if the one they like is on the other side of the country, you'll have to travel there; but it seems to me that they offer a bit of everything everywhere; or at least, it's not too far away. But you might have a bit of a journey to do...
There you go :)
