Hello,

Does anyone have an idea about the approximate duration of a 6000 mAh battery in a 10-inch tablet when using 3G? Thank you for your help as I want to choose the right model.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 30.0.1599.101

It is difficult to determine the duration of a battery without knowing the current it needs to provide. Tablet manufacturers do not provide this information. In my opinion, the greater the capacity, the better it will be.

To help you understand what the world of batteries is like, I will explain the basics using an iPad 3rd generation. This tablet has a battery of 11666 mAH. The mAH stands for milliampere-hours. So, if the tablet consumes 1000 milliamperes at rest, the battery should last 11.666 hours on paper. If you increase that consumption to 4000 milliamperes at full charge, for example, it will be dead after 3 hours. Apple has announced a battery life of 10 hours, so it consumes 1166.6 milliamperes to achieve 10 hours.

It is the same logic for charging it. A 1 ampere (1000 milliamperes) charger will take 12 hours to charge it.

For your tablet with a 6000 mAH battery, the manufacturer will definitely provide a battery life. Not this kind of information that I just gave you. It can last for days depending on your usage, but it won’t last the day without being connected if you use it a lot.
