Hello;
I have a problem with my printer, I have an Epson LQ 2090, and I can't configure my printer to print all the paper formats, especially invoices and statements, because I use continuous form paper.
I would like to know the exact settings, it's urgent.!!!
Thank youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu...!!!!

Hello Malaq,
Once again, provide more details. Explain better what is happening. You say your printer gets stuck as soon as you turn it on. Without having sent a print? What do you mean by "getting stuck"? Is it really a continuous beep? In principle, it only emits series of three or five beeps. And then, tell us about the status of the indicator lights!

Hello
If I understand correctly, your printer does not respect page breaks
I would like to know if you are using regular paper
or if you are using listing paper

Hello Aminos,
I have just acquired an Epson LQ-2090 and, while browsing the Web, I came across your question.
Have you finally resolved your issue since September?
If not, please let me know if you are using your printer with the driver under Windows or if you are using it under DOS.
I await your response before proceeding.
Best regards.

Look at the length of your page with a ruler
In the print options, give it the length of your page
and it should work

Hello,
I have a problem with my Epson LQ2080. Can you help me? You seem to know about it...
I'm using continuous A4 paper
no printing or layout issues
My problem is that every time I print, the printer automatically feeds about 10 cm of paper into the void (even though my print job is finished). I have to reposition my page after each print using the knob on the right side of the printer.
If not, all my prints are misaligned
I think this is a spacing issue due to a setting that was incorrectly adjusted at the beginning.
Thank you for your help
If you can't help me, do you know someone who can?
Thanks

Hello Gege,
I just acquired an LQ-2090. I assume its operation should be similar to that of your LQ-2080.
First of all, when you start, make sure to place the listing paper in the feed basket without pushing it further into the machine. Once the data is received, the machine will take care of positioning the paper correctly. You should never turn the advancement button.
Try it that way and then get back to me.

Hello Sou,
I just replaced my old printer (20 years of service) with an LQ-2090.
I also use it under DOS with programs that I had written.
Unfortunately, some of the command codes are different.
I created a topic asking if anyone could provide them.
I will keep looking, and if I find anything, I'll let you know.
Cheers!

After research, I learned that this printer operates using the ESC/P 2 language, a language that must be specific to Epson.
I found the reference manual on this site:
https://www.epson.co.uk/support/manuals/pdf/ESCP/Part_1.pdf
Unfortunately, it is in English. I am looking for a translation...

The language of dot matrix printers includes ESC/P 2 according to the Epson France website.
ESCP/2 mult-point concept. The multi-point font concept corresponds to a new method of creating fonts on 24-pin type printers. These fonts no longer correspond to predefined character matrices but rather to mathematical equations, allowing for the definition and printing of any perfectly smoothed sizes. However, given the mechanical limitations of dot matrix machines, the currently accessible sizes range from 8 points to 32 points in 2-point increments (1 point = 1/72").
Download the following manual https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ESC/P
It may help you -- good luck.
