What does this mean, and what could cause it?
Thank you for your help

The memory address cannot be 'Read' or 'Written'
* Check the functioning of the memory sticks
* Check for the presence of malware and, if necessary, eradicate them
* Check Windows configuration
* Clean the hard drive
* Repair Windows Update
* Add RAM
Windows displays an error message in one of the following forms:
svchost.exe - Application error. The instruction at "0x********" uses the memory address "0x00000000". Memory cannot be 'read'
The event viewer reports the following message:
Faulting application svchost.exe, version 5.1.2600.2180, faulting module msi.dll, version 3.1.4000.2435, fault address 0x00******.
This problem is related to the management of memory addresses by memory.
The causes of this problem may be as follows:
* 1. Hardware problem (failure of one or more memory sticks)
* 2. Malware-related issue (virus, worm, trojan horse, spyware) present in memory
* 3. Issue related to the improper use of a software resource by one application or by multiple applications running simultaneously.
* 4. Insufficient RAM (insufficient amount of memory and saturated hard drive preventing the creation of a swap file (virtual memory).
To remedy this, here is the procedure to follow:
Check the functioning of the memory sticks
Test your RAM sticks
Check for the presence of malware and, if necessary, eradicate them
Protect a computer against malware from the internet
Check Windows configuration
If the problem occurs when opening a folder containing many multimedia files, the problem may be related to Windows extracting information from the files, causing significant slowdowns. To remedy this, simply follow this procedure:
CPU used at 100%
If the problem occurs when running a specific application, try uninstalling and reinstalling it.
Clean the hard drive
Delete as many unnecessary files from the hard drive as possible (notably the "Temporary Internet Files" folder) and free up memory by stopping unnecessary background processes (running applications).
Empty the Internet cache
Repair Windows Update
If the error message persists:
* 1. Check the settings of the Windows Update and BITS services:
o a. Open the Start menu, Run, type services.msc in the window and confirm with OK
o b. Double-click on the Automatic Updates service
o c. Go to the Connection tab, ensure that Local System Account is selected and that the Allow service to interact with Desktop option is unchecked
o d. Check that the hardware profile (usually Profile 1) is activated. If not, click on Activate
o e. Return to the General tab, ensure that the Startup Type is set to Automatic. If the service status is not Started, click on Start to run it
o f. Repeat each step of these operations with the Background Intelligent Transfer Service (BITS)
* 2. Re-register Windows Update DLLs:
o a. Open the Start menu, Run, type cmd in the window and confirm with OK
o b. In the command prompt, REGSVR32 WUAPI.DLL and confirm with Enter. Upon receiving the message DllRegisterServer in WUAPI.DLL succeeded, click OK
o c. Repeat these operations for each of the following commands:
REGSVR32 WUAUENG.DLL
REGSVR32 WUAUENG1.DLL REGSVR32 ATL.DLL REGSVR32 WUCLTUI.DLL REGSVR32 WUPS.DLL REGSVR32 WUPS2.DLL REGSVR32 WUWEB.DLL
*
o d. Then stop the Windows Update service by typing: net stop WuAuServ
3. Rename the Windows Update folder: click on the Start menu, Run, type %windir% and confirm. In the window, rename the SoftwareDistribution folder to SD_Old
4. Restart the Windows Update service by opening the Start menu, Run, typing net start WuAuServ and confirming with OK
5. Completely restart the computer
6. Go to the Windows Update website to manually update Microsoft products.
If this does not suffice, also try this method:
* 1. Open the Start menu, right-click on the My Computer icon and select Properties.
* 2. Go to the Automatic Updates tab
* 3. Choose Disable automatic updates and confirm
* 4. Restart the computer
* 5. Open the Start menu, All Programs, open Windows Update to manually update Windows.
* 6. Return to the properties of My Computer to set the Automatic Installation (recommended) option for automatic updates
Add RAM
As a last resort, it is also possible to increase the computer's RAM by purchasing one or more additional RAM sticks!
* Add memory sticks
* Check the functioning of the memory sticks
* Check for the presence of malware and, if necessary, eradicate them
* Check Windows configuration
