Hello, I have found some V8 tapes for a Hitachi VM-E53E 8mm Video Camera / Recorder Pal. Unfortunately, my camera is no longer working, and I would like to know if it is possible to buy an adapter or video cassette to insert them. I have all my memories on those tapes. Thank you, and I look forward to your response.

You need to find a second-hand camcorder that handles mini 8mm cassettes.

Thank you, you idiot. It was to put them on a DVD. But the person who wanted to do it for me doesn’t have an adapter to burn them afterwards.

I researched the cassette to get an adapter, and here is just the information about these cassettes: << This unit uses 8mm video format cassettes. · It records and plays back in SP mode (14.3 mm/second). · It cannot record and play back in LP mode (7.2 mm/second). >>

Hello, this type of cassette is well known; it succeeds the VHS/C, precedes the Hi8, and ends with the Mini DV. So either you have it done by an organization or you find a camcorder that uses 8mm cassettes only, no matter the brand, and a "Dazzle Video Converter" for conversion to a digital file for possible burning (60€).
