Hello,
I am using Word 2016 and I have an issue that seems to be a page break but does not appear when I enable non-printing characters. As with all my figures, I inserted a map with square text wrapping and a caption below grouped with the figure. After this figure, I have 10 lines of text and then, poof, even though I have room to write 15 more, I'm on the next page... If I delete my figure, this magic page break disappears and my text continues to the bottom. If I move it to the previous page, there is no effect: on the previous page, I have my text down to the bottom + my figure and my ink has moved. On the page where I had an issue, it persists, even though the problem clearly comes from this figure and there is nothing related to it on the page...
Thank you in advance for your help :)

Hello dadar5,
With non-printable characters displayed, if you don't see the page break, it's probably generated by the paragraph corresponding to its position: right-click | "Paragraphs" | [Line and Page Breaks] tab | "Page break before".
You can check it more easily by going to [View] | "Draft". In this mode, the unwanted page break will be visible.

In draft mode, I didn't see anything unusual.
By using your first technique and without really understanding how or why, by pressing "delete" and "enter" successively, it eventually got fixed!
Thank you very much for your response :)
