In possession of a Techwood television, I need to connect my PC with a mini HDMI output to it. This television has a VGA input as well as an HDMI input. The manual recommends connecting my PC (HDMI output) to the VGA input rather than the HDMI input (risk of interference according to the information in the manual). Should I use a standard HDMI/VGA cable or an HDMI/VGA converter cable?
Please note that the connection to the HDMI input does not work.
Thank you for your response.

Hello, I have the same brand of TV as you. I recommend trying different cables, but for me, the PC HDMI and TV HDMI work perfectly.
Do some tests if you have cables

I thought it was supposed to work (PC HDMI and TV HDMI with HDMI cable) but nothing works. No video signal displayed on the screen.
Why does the manual specify with this type of television (only one HDMI port) to NOT use the HDMI input but the VGA output, hence the question. Do I need a converter cable (maybe the VGA input is analog) HDMI / VGA or a simple VGA/HDMI cable?

An HDMI to VGA converter or an HDMI to VGA cable are exactly the same in terms of the data transmitted.
