Hello,

There is a particular contact to whom I cannot send emails from Outlook.

As soon as the email is "sent," I already receive a message from "System Administrator" telling me that it cannot contact the recipient with the error code:

503 Bad sequence of commands

Do you know what I need to do? It works with Gmail.

I have tried SMTP with and without SSL (I am using POP3 with 1&1).

Thank you for your help!

    Hello

    Try repairing Outlook as follows:
Right-click on the Windows logo and select Run
Type Outlook.exe /safe then click OK.
Uncheck all the checkboxes in the list, then click OK.
    Restart Outlook.
If the problem does not occur after restarting Outlook, one of the add-ins is probably causing the issue. Restore the add-ins one by one until the problem occurs to determine which add-in is causing the issue.
To reactivate these add-ins one by one, test each time you activate an add-in so you can identify which one is causing the crash.

    Best regards

Avoid installing these free software programs that supposedly boost or repair your PC; they are of no major utility. The best tools in Windows are its own tools like ...Dos..&.. PowerShell

No, that's not the problem. I just tested it. Even my colleagues can't do it. :/

This error message indicates that an SMTP command was received out of sequence. After sending this error message to the calling host, the SMTP gateway waits for another command.
Check the SMTPGATE.LOG file to find the offending command that caused the error.
