Hello,
I would like to improve the audio output of my box with small 2.0 speakers. Can I connect my box to these speakers using an adapter like this: http://www.amazon.fr/audio-adaptor-mini-angled-plug/dp/B000LBA206/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8 ?
I just want to plug an optical cable into my box and connect the jack to the speakers using the adapter.
Or do I have to go through a home theater system or an amplifier?

No, that won't work, you definitely need a digital optical to RCA or jack converter like this one,

The bundle includes an optical cable + RCA cable + power adapter. (you have a jack output for your speakers).
