Pressing "Enter" takes me to the bottom of the page.

Hello everyone,
First of all, thank you for helping me with this problem. I have been looking for a solution for several months without success, so I really appreciate it :)
So, when I press the enter key, which is supposed to create a new line, it actually takes me almost all the way to the bottom of the page. I tried creating other documents to see if the problem persisted, and it indeed persisted.
This issue arose after copying 2 pages from another Word file. I then continued my text, but when I pressed the "Enter" key, it took me to the bottom of the page.
