Lacie 500GB hard drive USB port problem

Here is the translation: here I have a 500GB Lacie on which I obviously have a lot of important stuff!
and since tonight it’s doing a pretty weird trip.
it won’t start! and when I poke at the USB port at the back it restarts! I release the port, 10 seconds later there’s no one!
has anyone ever had this problem? if I open the beast, can I fix it?

    Just a quick question before opening the beast… Have you considered testing the disk with another USB cable?

    Hello

    It looks like a loose contact... So yes, by opening the thing, maybe you can fix it, unless it’s really at the outlet level in which case you would need to replace the hard drive box...

    Be careful, if you open it you’ll void the warranty.
    Back up what you can before attempting any manipulations... (even if it means staying there and holding it while it charges on your PC...)

    Yes yes I’ve already tested two cables... It doesn’t change anything :(
    so I’m replacing the box today!

      Hello,

      I have the same problem with the same hard drive, faulty connection, impossible to stay connected long enough for the drive to mount. How can I change the enclosure? Will I lose the data on it?
