it's a very good film, mixing reality (difficult, during the Spanish Civil War) and a fantastical world.
The film has won several awards, as far as I know, and Guillermo del Toro's work is impressive.
Honestly, it's a must-see; you either love it or hate it, but it has the merit of being very original.

I bought the movie and I find it stunning. It's a shame that there are too many unnecessary violent or "gory" scenes (I'm particularly thinking of two scenes: the one where the captain breaks the farmer's nose and the one where he cuts his mouth, which I really don't see the point of at all)

There's also a scene where Mercedes uses at least 5 heavy insults in a short span of time, that one is frankly unnecessary as well, but oh well...

Otherwise, this movie is excellent!

But for my part, I never download movies, not because it's illegal but because of the quality (rarely good) when you happen to find the right film... it quickly gets frustrating to wait several hours only to realize it's not the movie you wanted!
