USB Problem Continental Edison TV

Hello,
I've been experiencing some issues reading videos from USB mode for a while now. When I try to start a video, the screen freezes (it doesn't even show the video info except for the title), and I can do nothing but turn off the TV using the on/off button...
I tried with an external hard drive and a USB stick, but nothing works... This problem appeared suddenly with no apparent reason...
I have a Continental Edison cetvdled32hd5 television.

    Hello, two possibilities: either your TV is malfunctioning or you have changed the formats of your videos, which are no longer supported by your TV. Check the list in the manual.
    Verify if you have changed the formatting of the drives to FAT32 or NTFS.

      Hello,
      For the format, I use AVI; this format has always worked and is even mentioned in the manual.
      My USB drive was in FAT32, but I just reformatted it (still in FAT32), yet my TV still freezes when trying to load the video...

        So I remind you that AVI is a container, not a format; it can host different codecs
        that may not be accepted by your TV
        search the web for "container" and "codec" "avi" to inform yourself

      I just installed Gspot to know the codecs of my videos, I tried it with videos that worked on my TV a few months ago and with newer ones that I had never tried on the TV: after comparing with the manual, the codecs are compatible...
      It's like the TV suddenly can't support opening files larger than music and images (which work perfectly)
      It might be a malfunction coming from the TV then...
      If you happen to know any manipulations to fix the problem, I’m open to suggestions, anyway thank you for your help!

        Hi, if you can reinstall the files on a USB stick that will be formatted in NTFS, which handles files larger than 4GB, that's all I see.
