Hello,

I'm looking to display a total on a pivot chart in Bar format. I have the data labels for each category (revenue) but I can't see the total, which is a shame. Does anyone have a tip?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,
Could you please specify whether you would like to display a single total for a bar graph or a total for each category with a stacked bar graph?

      Hello,
I have my different bars for each category that I don’t want to stack but keep distinct. And I would like to have a box in my chart that gives me the sum of all the amounts.

We assume the total in G20 in the pivot table.
In P2 we type = then click on G20.
The formula bar displays =GETPIVOTDATA(....) confirm.
Select the chart, type = in the formula bar and then click on P2 in the pivot table sheet, confirm.
The total appears on the chart in a text box (surrounded by small dots). This box can be moved. The total value will update with the pivot table.

Ah too bad it seemed pretty good... but I don't see the number showing up...
Well, it's not a big deal, I can add it in a box next to the graph! Thank you for your time.

This procedure was established with Excel 2003.
In fact, it is the same as for a regular chart, except that for a Gcd, you need to go through an intermediate cell (P2) from the pivot table that serves as a base.
