Help with the DiseqC switch

Hello,

I would like some assistance regarding the operation of switches. Here is my situation.

I have a decoder, and I have two satellite dishes (one oriented towards Hellas 2 and the other towards Astra 19/Hotbird). So I have 2 LNBs, each on one of the dishes, a normal LNB on Hellas and a Monobloc LNB for HotBird and Astra (but I have never received any signal for the HotBird channels, I eventually gave up), so I have two cables to connect to my decoder. Not wanting to constantly switch cables, I decided to buy a switch ( https://www.amazon.fr/gp/product/B003C9JW4G?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00 ) to be at ease and have the channels from Astra 19 and Hellas 2 at the same time, all the time.

The problem occurs when I connect the two cables to the switch, only the cable connected to the SAT 1 output works, the one connected to SAT 2 never works.

I don't know what to do? Do you know what the problem is? Because I am really lost right now!

Thank you in advance to everyone.

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 45.0.2454.93

    Hello,

well!, you just need to set the DiseqC menu on your decoder by choosing DiseqC 1.0 (or 1.1) and then enter the order of the Hellas satellites in 1 (or input A) and Astra in 2 (or input B). Obviously, you must have connected the Hellas and Astra cables in the same order on the DiseqC switch

this way you will have what you're looking for without getting Hot Bird, otherwise, you will need to buy a DiseqC multi-position switch (a bit more complicated to set up)

    keep us posted

      Thanks, my friend!

I'm going to try to do that, unfortunately, my decoder is a Vu + Zero and I have no idea how to configure the diseqc menu on this device... Well, I've reached the tuner, but configuring the thing from there... Oh dear ^^

for info under "hot-bird Astra Diseqc Switch" there were data and links to diagrams on how to couple a monobloc head 6° and a usual monosat head using a 2-input position option switch or via a distributor mounted upside down and a standard 4-input switch...

but without a manual, it is more difficult to configure the antenna menu ....
