Hello,
I recently purchased the MSI GTX 970 gaming 4G thinking that my power supply had the needed cables. When I opened my computer to install it, I realized that I only had one PCIE 6-Pin cable. The graphics card requires one 6-pin and one 8-pin cable, but it came with a 6-pin to 8-pin adapter, so I need two 6-pin cables.

After this long context, here is my question: Is there a better solution than buying a 2 Molex to 1 6-pin adapter?

My power supply is the Orion ATX-685 (685W).

Thanks in advance!

    Hi,
if I understand correctly, the power supply only has one 6-pin connector and the 970 requires two. Besides using adapters, the other option is to completely change the power supply.

      NO !!!!!

Your GPU doesn't require 2 connections....

Connect your 8-pin power supply to your GPU via the adapter... Forget about the 6-pin...

      And restart...
