Hello, I am in the process of making a PowerPoint presentation, but when I check the slide number box and close the "Header and Footer" window, the change is not effective. When I reopen this window, the box is unchecked.
Thank you in advance for your responses.

Hello Jeanbaptist,
there's no bug! It's just a lack of understanding of how PowerPoint works.
You must have used layouts (in the master) that don’t have the active slide number.
In the master, is the placeholder for the slide number present?
Did you click on "Apply to All" in the "Header and Footer" dialog box?
In short, it’s difficult to give you THE precise answer as it all depends on the design of your presentation (whether you are using a master, etc.).
But it's not a bug, and there must be an explanation!!
If needed, upload a sample of your presentation with the troublesome slide to https://www.cjoint.com/ and come back to provide the link here.

I also appreciate you offering to help me directly, but I think I will simply redo my masks and pay a little more attention.
I had indeed clicked on "Applied everywhere" but it won't work if there are errors in the mask.
Thanks again! :)
