Followings: The Followings correspond to the Twitter accounts you follow. To find out the number of followings, go to your Twitter homepage; the number is located at the top of the right column. And to see all your followings (people who follow you), simply click on the number or "Following."
Followers: The Followers are the people who follow your updates. Just like with the followings, the number is located on the homepage in the right column, and you can see who follows you by clicking on the number or "Followers."
In short, followings means you follow an account, and followers means they follow your account.
