Hello everyone,
I’m reaching out regarding a small issue (more of an inconvenience than a problem) with my JVC Bluetooth setup.
Description of the setup:
-------------------------------
I just bought a JVC KS-BTA100 Bluetooth adapter to connect to my JVC KD-R531 car radio.
It works perfectly, and the connection is simple. The adapter is powered by a power and ground wire, and a third wire (brown) is used to mute the radio in case of a call (or rather to switch to the "BT Audio" source of the radio).
The wires appear to be the same color on the radio as on the BT adapter.
I connected the ground to ground (Black-Black), the mute (brown-brown), and the power to the post-ignition power wire (blue striped-white - Red). However, the radio’s connector does include a blue-white striped wire, but I didn’t try it (I logically powered the adapter with the radio’s power without thinking).
Description of the issue:
----------------------------
So here’s my little issue. When I start my vehicle, both the radio and the BT turn on. The radio plays music and the BT searches for my phone. So far, so good.
When the BT finds my phone, it automatically switches to the BT audio source of the radio. I then have to select my source again to return to Tuner or USB. It doesn’t seem to me that this problem existed on the day I connected it (the phone connected without interrupting the radio broadcast).
To summarize, does anyone know how to make the phone associated with the KS-BTA100 BT Adapter connect “in the background” without changing the source of the radio?
Thank you in advance for your help.

Hello everyone,
I solved my problem.
I reconnected my KS-BTA100 while strictly following the wire colors. I powered it using the blue/white wire from the car radio since it's the same color on the BTA. Ground to ground (black) and the source switch likewise (brown).
Immediately after making these connections, there was no change.
The next day, everything was working properly.
I think there might be some kind of computer issue or something, and that the car (or the car radio + BT) must remain off for a certain amount of time for the settings (connections) to be recognized.
Anyway, it's resolved.
I hope this will help other DIYers.
Bye
