Hello,
How can I return to my starting point after being taken to another point in the Word document marked by a bookmark?

Configuration: Windows 7 / Chrome 44.0.2403.155

    Hello Esteve,

to go back to your starting point without having to create return bookmarks, you can:
    - use the key combination SHIFT F5 that brings you back to your last 3 positions (you will need to press it 3 times)

    - or, more efficiently, add the "Back" button to the Quick Access Toolbar (a small bar located at the top of your screen where you at least have the save icon).
To do this, right-click on the ribbon, "Customize Quick Access Toolbar", select "All Commands" from the list of categories, search for the "Back" command (they are sorted alphabetically).
There are several. You double-click on the first one to add it to the toolbar (in the tooltip, you will see "WebGoBack").
This "Back" command is associated with the shortcut ALT left arrow (even faster ;-).

Thank you very much. That's perfect.
May I ask you another question?
Since I got Word 2010, I haven't been able to insert cross-references, and the online help I consulted did not solve the problem. Could you help me?
      Thank you in advance.

        Esteve,

the best thing is to open a new thread with a related title.
This will open up more possibilities for responses.
Take the opportunity to explain the difficulty you are encountering because "I can no longer insert cross-references" is not very specific: can't you find the command? What type of reference? Are you getting an error message? How are you proceeding?
