Hello,
In my table of contents, when I perform an automatic update, it's complete chaos: I see text appearing in the titles, and sometimes instead of page numbers, I get the message "bookmark error."
I corrected everything manually. Everything seemed fine, but when I started to print, I again got "bookmark error" instead of the numbering for some chapters...
I need to submit my thesis by the end of the week and I'm a bit "stressed."
:-(
Can someone help me?
The best solution would be to prevent the automatic update of the table of contents and keep my manually corrected version even when printing.
Thank you for your help...
Configuration: Windows 7 / Internet Explorer 10.0

Hello Fred
If text sections appear in the Table of Contents, it's because they are defined as title styles instead of being defined as body text. Therefore, you need to switch all this text to the "Normal" style.
There are several ways:
- Go to the View tab and check "Navigation Pane"
- A pane will open on the left showing the outline of your document and what should make up your table of contents.
- Hover the cursor over each misplaced line that shouldn't be displayed: Home tab => styles group => check Normal
For the Table of Contents, you should delete it and recreate it to start fresh after the cleanup you've done.
