Hello everyone, I've recently become the owner of a 2002 Audi A3 1.9 5-door, and everything works well except the sound! (a big problem for me...). I bought a Pioneer car radio that works perfectly, but the speakers crackle as soon as I turn the volume up to "+25". I can't listen to anything above that volume. I thought it might be the speakers that were probably dead, so I bought Pioneer speakers for the front and a good Focal speaker for the back, but after having them installed by Feu Vert, the same issue occurred, but worse! As soon as the volume goes above 20, it crackles everywhere...
I don't understand where the problem comes from, and I honestly feel frustrated because after spending €150 on the speakers and €120 for the professional installation at Feu Vert, I'm left with awful sound... Please help me, I'm really tired of throwing money away for nothing...

Hi
What brand were the original speakers in your Audi?
The solution is to put tar sheets to soundproof the car to avoid the vibrations from the door trims. It’s a hassle to do, but once it’s done, there will be no more vibration issues.

To put these tar sheets in place, you need to remove the door trims, the trunk, and the ceiling and then put in the tar sheets.
Changing the speakers didn’t solve the problem; it actually made it worse because the speakers have a higher output than the originals.
