try using a small needle underneath the memory card, pressing in the small reset hole.

Hello everyone, my TomTom One XL does not want to connect to my PC for me to update it, I don't know what to do anymore. So when I click on disconnect, there is no problem, thank you for the answer.

For those who can't find the solution, I had this problem not long ago.
Indeed, if the GPS is completely discharged, it won't turn on.
I think that the vibrations while driving affect the connection between the GPS and the car mount. (I deduce that it's mainly the GPS connection that is defective because I have the same issue when connecting the power via the computer connection mount)
The green LED is not a guarantee that charging is occurring, it just shows that a power source is properly connected. To be sure the GPS is charging, you need to see the charging status bar with "charging" written below, which is only visible when the GPS is turned on (for example, perform a route search without pressing "finish", this displays all the status bars; make sure to select the charging status bar in "status bar preferences" if the charging bar isn't there).
I've had to wedge a support between the mount and the GPS to ensure a proper connection between the two.
Now it works. Always keep an eye out to see if "charging" is still displayed (unless the charging is maxed out with the entire battery green); otherwise, readjust your shim until the message appears.
There you go, thank you all for your input; I'm not a regular on this forum, but I've gathered quite a few tips here. I hope I've been able to help at least one of you.
    Take care!
P.S.: I also don't think it's advisable to leave the GPS charging longer than necessary, and as already advised, do not start and stop your vehicle while the power is connected.

same problem, it's a battery issue, it needs to be charged for a long time...
Today I have to reset the tomtom every time I use it, and charge it all night.
I'm fed up, buying another GPS (different brand).
    sick of tomtom!!

You need to press reset under the TomTom, look for B1.

Hold down the power button for several seconds and it should be okay for the restart.

I have the same problem; I submitted it at Darty where I purchased it, and they didn't even open it. They ask me for €10 and tell me that TomTom does not repair it and offer me a new GPS with a 20% discount.
If it's a battery issue, can I be provided with a distributor to change it myself?
    Thank you in advance.

Hello! I've been having the same problem since this morning.. Not having used it for a few weeks; I thought it was a lack of charge... I charged it in my car all morning... Nothing! The green light is on, but that's it. Not great!!!! :-(

I need to thank the person who suggested putting a paperclip in the small hole located at the back of the TomTom and then putting the card back in; everything is working again, Mrs. Morel.

    Here is the translation:

"Well, I had the same problem, so I took the risk of opening it. Four torx screws later, I identified the polarity + - and I took a 9-volt battery and connected it. My TomTom started after that, so I ordered a battery from Subtel online. For 17 euros, my TomTom is back up and running. The existing battery is really well glued, but it's doable. Good luck."

For the GPS that won't turn on after trying the reset, the solution is a hairdryer. You need to dry it for 3 to 5 minutes and then turn it back on.

    Are you experiencing problems?
In rare cases, your XL may not start correctly or may
    not respond to your touch.
First, check that the battery is properly charged. To ensure
your battery is fully charged, you need to charge it for at least two
    hours.
If that doesn't work, you can reset your device. To do
this, press and hold the power button for fifteen
seconds. Release the power button when the device
    restarts.

    Good luck!!!!

Same issue, can't turn on my "Tomtom One"
I've done "resets" for 25 seconds, still nothing...
Tomtom plugged into its charger; I removed the SD card.
And oh surprise... It turned back on asking to reinsert the SD card...

    Hello,

I have a TomTom One Europe 22. I installed TomTom Home to update it, thinking I was doing the right thing, but now nothing works. A white cross in a red circle appears and nothing happens. I didn't make a backup, (of course) and I can't recover the application. What can I do to fix my carelessness, especially since the TomTom was a gift? Thank you in advance.

I also have a TomTom, it's 5 months old, it's a TomTom One Europe V3 and it's still under warranty. I bought it at the Leclerc center in Lumbres, in Pas-de-Calais. I brought it back to have it repaired, and they told me it was my fault for needing the repair, bravo for the after-sales service. So I have a TomTom that cost me 159 euros and is useless. To me, they are thieves, good for nothing else but selling.

Yes, I completely agree with you; what's the point of having a warranty if they don't really honor it? If you find the solution, please let me know.

You need to go here and while logged into your account, click on my repairs or you can contact TomTom through the various means
If you don't have an account, you need to create one, it's all free.
      An interesting site here
      Have a nice day
