unable to transfer files to Freebox server Windows 10

Question

Hello,

I recently installed Windows 10 (replacing Windows 7) yesterday.
This new Windows is quite good in terms of speed. I prefer it.
The problem is that since this change, I can't transfer video files to the Freebox server.
The Freebox Server icon appears correctly in "network location".
I can access it, I see my files but they are all 0 bytes.
It's impossible to copy/paste a new file into it; the "copy" option is grayed out.
I have already unplugged and replugged the Freebox and the Freebox TV.
Can you please help me?

Hello!
I had the same problem, solved like this:
Go to network ---> freebox server ---> freebox settings ---> advanced mode ---> windows sharing ---> UNCHECK enable file sharing AND ok ---> redo windows sharing ---> CHECK enable file sharing AND ok and everything works again!!!!

Try this: https://protuts.net/desactiver-fonctionnalites-groupe-residentiel-windows-7/ also, make sure your Freebox network is set to private, not public...  -- and ... There you go!

Hello everyone, actually I've had the problem, it's quite simple, go to Windows ----> File Explorer ----> Network tab ----> click on FREEBOX and there you go, you can retrieve your files and to put new ones, you shouldn't go through THIS PC, it's silly but well =D Enjoy =D hoping I've helped you with this =D

Hello, your problem probably comes from your "PUBLIC NETWORK" profile under WINDOWS 10.

To change your public network profile to a private network:
1. Press the Windows logo or Windows key + i
2. Select the network and internet tab
3. Select Wi-Fi
4. Choose "Advanced options"
5. "Under make this PC discoverable"
activate

There you go, your network is now "PRIVATE NETWORK"

Now to see your Freebox hard drive on "This PC"

1. Open a Windows folder (yellow)
2. Go to "This PC" (where your hard drive and CD-ROM drives, USB keys, etc. are located)
3. Click on "Map network drive"
4. In the window that appears... click on browse...
5. there you choose Freebox
6. finally your Freebox hard drive is on your PC like an external hard drive.
