Latency on Pages

Hello,

I have searched everywhere but haven’t found a similar problem to mine.

Actually, I am in the middle of writing a document on Pages and since yesterday, I've been experiencing this latency issue between the moment I type on the keyboard and when the characters actually appear on the screen. I type and 1 to 2 good seconds later, the text shows up all at once and often full of typos. The same goes for when I want to delete something. The little multicolored wheel also often appears just for the simple deletion of a letter.

This lag only occurs in Pages, and only in this document. Everything else is fine. I have a few high-quality photos in this document, but I can’t remove them, I need them for the layout.

Do you think there could be a link?
Even better, have you ever had this problem and is there a solution? Because with a document of about a hundred pages, I'm going to end up losing my mind...

    Be careful to save your work often.

    I read that Pages 5.2, even if it's the only app open, can cause issues above 10 pages with annotations and citations.

    So if we have multiple programs open....

    Also, no streaming at the same time (music, video)

    You also need to have 10 to 20% of your hard drive free.

      Okay, yet I created another file with my appendices, photos, and images in the meantime but it's still the same.
      All the other criteria are met but there's still this significant lag...

      Certainly, I have 20 pages of writing but I find it incredible to have such a problem...

    Hello,

    I am currently working on a 121-page Pages document, including tables, sections, etc... + Table of contents, and there is no slowdown.

    Could it be an exotic font issue?

    The font I am using in this document is Comic Sans Serif.

    Try testing after deleting the Pages preference files located in your library, here:

    Hard_drive / User / your_name / Library / Preferences /

    The files are named like these: 

    com.apple.iWork.Pages.LSSharedFileList.plist
    com.apple.iWork.Pages.plist


    Note to access YOUR Library which is hidden by default:
