In general, to extend a partition, you need to have unallocated space after the partition you want to enlarge. The problem is that if you reduce the space of your D, it will create unallocated space after the D and not after the C. This means you can potentially create a partition after the D, but you cannot enlarge the C. This means you need unallocated space between C and D.

What you could do:
- delete the D partition (but you need to back up the data to another medium) and extend the C volume. Then recreate the D.
- use third-party software that allows you to extend the C without deleting anything. My advice would still be to back up important data before proceeding with this operation.
