Hello everyone,

My dad's computer is eligible to receive the Windows 10 update.

The famous "Get Windows 10" logo has appeared.

But the problem is, when you click on the icon, all we get is the "Please wait" screen as the loading screen.

It stays like that indefinitely.

Do you have a solution?

A big thank you for your answers !,

Have a great evening ! :)

    Hi
restart the PC and start over?
    Then wait...
Anyway, reserved or not, you’ll have access to W10, don’t worry ^^
The reservation is just for Microsoft to prepare its servers and gauge user interest in W10.
Windows Update will “offer” it to you anyway, see, like W8.1, it will force it on you?
    To be continued...

      Good evening Uncle Sebastien,

Here comes the upgrade and I still haven’t managed to do the one on my father’s PC...

I say this knowing that the "Get Windows 10" keeps me from upgrading with the "please wait".

I watched the web again for my problem: it turns out this isn’t an isolated issue.

      On Microsoft’s help community, a user suggested 3 methods that can be found here ( => https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_10-win_upgrade/get-windows-10-stuck-on-please-wait-screen/c7c527d5-6a32-4eb9-8aae-d0edcff0adee?auth=1 ) :

      1. Check that KB3035583 update is installed.

If it isn’t installed, you need to install a "rollup" for Windows 8, 8.1 or verify that Windows 7 SP1 is installed.

==> My father’s PC has Windows 7 and SP1 is indeed installed

      2. Do a "Clean boot" (Safe Mode)

I ran msconfig.exe and asked to perform a minimal boot of the system components.

==> It didn’t work after I restarted the machine from Safe Mode.

I think I’m going to wait to see if Microsoft offers other solutions or if I find one on the web.

Conclusion : If you know what the solution to this problem is, I think it would be welcome! :)
